Cape Town is known for its vibrant food culture, and this is where the team at The Lion's Head Gastro Bar & Brewery tries to bring a piece of it to Amsterdam. The cozy restaurant serves hearty dishes with an African/German twist accompanied by light and easy-drinking home-brewed beers. Of course, all served with a smile.
On the menu at The Lion's Head Gastro Bar & Brewery
The menu focuses on shared dining, with several smaller and large dishes to share. And that's nice, because choosing is hard. Everything on the menu here looks equally delicious. For example, the homemade Nachos are not just any Nachos. At Lion's Head, they are served with slow-cooked chile con carne, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream and a jalapeño cheese sauce. Another favorite is the Chicken Peri Peri from the Green Egg barbecue with garlic bread mashed potatoes and smoked vegetable salsa. Add a cold beer from our own brewery and the evening can't go wrong.
Opening hours
The Lion's Head Gastro Bar & Brewery is open from 5 p.m. to 0 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. On Saturday, you can visit from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 0 a.m.
